1. REACH THE UPPER TOWN BY FUNICOLAR
For 120 years the funiculars have crossed the walls of Bergamo, connecting the modern centre to the medieval heart of the city. Thanks to the superb view on the way, on arrival it will be love at first sight.

Walk all 5 km of the Venetian walls, protagonist of the unmistakable skyline of Bergamo. The sunset seen from the stands is priceless, and from the telescopes that you will find along the way you will be able to see Milan.
4. EXPERIENCE ART AT ACCADEMIA CARRARA
Botticelli, Bellini, Raffaello, Tiziano, Lotto and the great Bergamasco portrait painter Moroni. Meet the great Italian art of the ‘500, they are all at the Accademia Carrara: its collection is among the most valuable in Europe.
5. LIVE THE OPERA AT THE DONIZETTI THEATRE
Originally called “Riccardi”, after the name of its builder, this place is above all the theater where the works of the great composer from Bergamo Gaetano Donizetti were presented and appreciated by the citizens.
6. VISIT THE MORONI PALACE AND ITS GARDENS
A seventeenth-century palace that preserves decorated, furnished interiors and a rich art collection, as well as an Italian garden and a vast ortaglia that constitute a charming historic park in the heart of Città Alta.
